Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I'm curious about iron. I've read where some people have to take as much as 300mg of iron daily due to the malabsorption, so I'm confused about ProFErrin.

It looks to me that it's only 10.5mg. What am I missing? I'm sure it's something.

Depends on the type of iron.
Carbonyl (elemental) you need more. Heme is more potent in less amounts (Proferrin is heme iron not carbonyl).

Then there are those of us who don't absorb iron any more.

...and those of us to absorb too much! I stopped supplementing iron after my initial set of labs and it's still off the charts high. We're all different...
