....and I surely hope I know when I'll be back again. I leave for SoCal tomorrow to meet with the great Dr. K on Tuesday, and to be revised from this blasted RNY to the real deal DS. I am a bundle of nerves, but I'm sure all will be well. I hope so anyway...can't believe this is finally happening!

Oh man I remember being so scared I'd be turned down at every hurdle. Silly really considering it is a buisness and doctors are also in it to make money. It's a poor buisness model if they said no to everyone who crossed the threshold. I needn't have worried. I had my surgery and lost an astonishing 14 stone in weight (around 200lbs).

The DS was a massive game changer for me on every single front. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Dr K is a wonderful surgeon and a very compassionate person. He will come see you everyday while you are in the hospital, early in the AM and he will still crack some jokes when you are feeling like crap. Huntington hospital is a great hospital, including the grounds. You are in great hands.
