Just wondering if sashimi is OK to eat. I'm almost at 4 weeks post-op

It's one of the few high protein, low carb lunch options around me, and given how well dairy and I are getting on at the moment, one of the few that doesn't make me feel ill. I had it for lunch today, managed four thickish slices of salmon sashimi, and it was delicious!

Absolutely. Seafood like scallops, crab, shrimp and lobster eere my go to foods early on. Salmon was to dense for me and the texture if sashimi wouldn't have worked for me personally do the light texture of the cooked seafood u mentioned, especially in butter made it perfect for me.

For me, eggs were the first easy protein to eat, then scallops lobster, sashimi, and steak. Chicken and pork took a while, like 2-3 months.

Definitely. I had sashimi for the first time a bit later - maybe 10 weeks out and it was wonderful, especially after 4 weeks of liquids and 4 weeks of pureed meat! I eat it as much as I can now (I'm almost 5 months out) and always feel great afterwards. Good luck!

I love sashimi with soy and wasabi. I have a lot of trouble keeping dense proteins down (sigh) but managed a couple slices about 2 months out. Hmmm I think I might try some more tonight.
