“The real James Bond” died.
Damn.
Damn.
But...JAMES BOND...didn’t do that. Right?But a wife beating prick, so there’s that ...
really?But a wife beating prick, so there’s that ...
You only live twice.
I am just glad Connery didn’t actually beat the living daylights out of his wife!Live and let die.
Anyone ever see him in "playing by heart"?
It was an ensemble rom-com. Gina Rowlands plays his wife. The movie seems to have absolutely everyone in it (Angelina Jolie glows). If you are used to him as a two fisted tomcat, it gives an idea of his range with him as a devoted husband at the end of life
In one scene, Sean confeses to Gina to falling in love with another woman.
Gina.. " and you never slept with her"
Sean." No, never"
Gina.." and you didn't want to"
Sean ( seriously reflecting on what might have been).." oh god..YES"
Next scene,.. hell to pay
John Stewart plays the would be boyfriend of the romantically shy x files woman
X files" I hate the artificiality of dating. Look at you. I'm sure you don't wear Armani at home
John.." No,..(pausing, then smiling)... my home is strictly black tie"
Dying adult son and mother, in his hospice room
Son.. Let's play a game.. tell a true story
Mother reluctantly,"OK.. if that's what you want"
Son " you go first"
Mother( holding hand to heart and almost dancing as she turns to say) " I never loved your father, not even once.
Son ( a little shocked)" Don't hold back"
Mother " I was so relieved when he died"
Son ( almost gleefully)" Geeze... you are good at this"
When she recites Goodnight Moon to him as he finally succumbs to his illness, it is hard not to tear up
The whole movie is about love, all the forms it can take, how it breaks our hearts and makes us whole... Like I said, a rom-com
"Don't be an anger ball"
