A QOTD from a biotech newsletter I receive:

The years between 50 and 70 are the hardest. You are always being asked to do things, and yet you are not decrepit enough to turn them down."

-- T.S. Eliot,
American-British writer

I'm over 50 so I feel I can say, I am cranky enough to turn down anything I really want to.

like overtime at work...

LOL, I am almost exactly between the two...

At my PCP in Knoxville, I was complaining about my arthritis...he quipped, "Your warranty has run out"

Reminds me, years ago, of being in an elevator with an elderly woman who turned to me and said, "Don't believe what they say about the 'golden years'. Getting old sucks!"

Aging is weird. It never feels like I think it will. Last night there was a news story about Michelle Obama showing off her AARP card and celebrating her 50th. I'll be officially joining her in April, though gotta say I just don't feel late-middle-aged. No conclusion, just hmmm.....

Aging is weird.
My BRAIN doesn't feel like I am as old as the years say I am...in my head, I still feel like I am in my 20's. My body tho has other ideas.

OMG, I'm rich! Silver in the hair, Gold in the teeth, Crystals in the kidney, Sugar in the blood, Lead in the butt, Iron in the arteries, and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas! I never thought I would accumulate such wealth!
