    Sunday Weigh In (4/21/2024)

It is mind blowing to watch the scale rise, especially so suddenly after surgery. Part of me is relieved, part of me is still going, oh hell!

    Sunday Weigh In (4/21/2024)

Good for you. Have you lost the extra 10-20 lbs below where you want to end up to account for bounce back? I got to my normal at 145 at 7 months, I stalled, then lost more. I got down to 121for a hot ten seconds 18 months. I stayed the course, ended up gaining back to 145 without changing...

    Sunday Weigh In (4/21/2024)

Last week 121 This week 120 I’m comfortable at this weight. I don’t feel like I’m too small and yet, I’m small enough. So I’m trying to stay here. I did cut back on carbs a bit, but not much. I notice it but no one else would.

The preop combo they gave me worked very well, although I refused one of the drugs. They were gonna give me gabapentin and I do not touch that stuff due to a very bad experience years ago.

    DS Math

There are some of us who are outliers with carbs. Generally we recommend 30-50 total carbs during the losing phase but there are some of us who don’t lose that way. I was averaging 100-150 grams a day and losing.

    Sunday Weigh In (4/14/2024)

Last week 119 This week 121 It seems the culprit was the extra dose of Topamax. I went back on the lower dose so I should start leveling out. So now, I now need to level out on the carb consumption. I had been overindulging to gain. Well, I’m doing that so now I need to rein it in.

    Dry mouth

Get some Biotene (even the generic works) and use it. I had a severe case of dry mouth a few years back that developed into a case of ANUG. Don’t be me. https://bariatricfacts.org/threads/i%E2%80%99m-whining-now-updated-10-4.13318/
