The last time I was in this location was in 2002. I was newly diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, should not have been in a high altitude location at all, and needed oxygen but hadn't gotten on it yet. I could just creep around for a few yards near the sign in one of the pictures.
On this fine day I hiked three or more miles and covered a minimum 200-foot change in altitude, maybe more. It was AWESOME.
