Proposed 34 bougie -- too small?

Hey y'all, would appreciate any input. Nina at Mexicali says Dr. Wilhelmy does a 34 bougie. That seems awfully small to me. I've read that there's not a lot of weight loss difference between smaller and larger bougie sizes, that it's the malabsorption part that is the most important for weight loss. Also that smaller bougie size has more GERD and higher chance for strictures and that smaller bougie's make it much harder to meet your hydration and protein goals in the first months to a year after surgery.

Should I ask for a larger bougie size? If Dr. Wilhelmy typically does the 34 (which could be because he has done a ton of VSG's before adding DS to his performed surgeries), is this going to "mess him up"?

On the plus size, he does the Hess method, with a 75 minimum CC and 125 maximum CC. I'm fine with that part.
