Casa Escobar is just awesome Mexican Food (and I have eaten a lot in my life). I have been in the LA area 4 times this year and have gone here three times, and will every time I come back.
Tamales are never anything I have really ever cared for as they are typically just a bunch of masa and not much flavor. Not these. They are chocked full of flavorful chicken and the mole sauce they come with, well you could put that shit on a piece of paper and I would eat it all day long.
Mid afternoon meal after we got into today. Yeah, freaking incredible (their relenos and enchilada rock too).
This place is directly across the street from the Malibu pier
If you like Mexican food and are ever in the area you have to give it a try ....btw both the tamale and enchilada were stuffed with a ton of chicken. Then enchilada had a ton of cheese too, just liek the releno.
