A lady in Dr K's Duodenal Switch private group just told me that she is part of a study in New Zealand comparing Hess and Standard Limb Length DS results. I had not heard of this and as you can imagine I think it is awesome that we will be getting some data on the cookie cutter side of the equation.

This is the link to the study:

It will be great information down the road. That said, that link may not be up to date as it indicates the planned first enrollment date was 6/01/2014 and they are not yet recruiting?

Yeah I think it should probably say "not recruiting" because the lady that told me she is part of the study said she was 18 months post DS. I didn't ask her which method she had and honestly I wonder if she was told?

Site says "Procedure for enrolling a subject and allocating the treatment (allocation concealment procedures)
Allocation is not concealed."

Edited to add:

"
Masking / blinding
Blinded (masking used)
Who is / are masked / blinded?
The people receiving the treatment/s"

Hmmmm.... Wonder how they would blind the surgical report.

Cool. I just browsed it on my phone around 5:30 this morning so I was about half awake. :D
