And in other news, the Sun rises in the East

so postops are more likely to get married but also more likely to get divorced?

or do I need more coffee?

I think we are less likely to settle for less or continue to settle for less postop.

I think back to the first person I ever knew who had WLS. Way back in the 80’s in SLC. I believe it was a stomach stapling. I did not know her well, she just worked at the same company. Postop she fed a lot of grist into the gossip mill with all her sexual exploits. If even half of it was true, she was having a good time. I always said she deserved it!

In the context of my own marriage, I found out after my H died that he told several of his relatives that I had ‘gone crazy’ after I lost all the weight. Maybe that is how he saw it and maybe it was just an excuse that was easier for him than examining his own behavior. He is dead so, who knows. I can honestly say losing the weight made me less willing to stay in a marriage that was just friendship and obligation. I will never know if I would have stayed with him or left if I had never had surgery. I want to think I would have left anyway.
