Someone in KS was seeking the “follow up” doctors who understand that DSers have “different” testing/supplementation issues because HER doctors were not being fabulous.

I get it because getting my hematologist to GRASP that he can’t “CURE” my Vitamin K issues is proving to be a challenge. It’s odd because he “gets” that we have to stay on top of my iron issues, but he hasn’t been able to apply that understanding to the Vitamin K stuff. (I see my guy on Monday and will again TRY to get him to see that this is something we need to monitor and treat to stay in range.). (He thinks he’s seeing me about the iron. So this will be a bit of a surprise for him.)

Poor guy.

Have you tried the phrase “short gut syndrome”? They are taught that in med school.
