I am 5 and a half years post-DS, maintaining a 100 pound weight loss.
I have never taken probiotics, never felt it necessary.
For about the last 2 months, I have been waking up at 2:30AM like clockwork, and spending the next 2 hours on the toilet. Sorry for the TMI, but I need relief. I need sleep!
Is this where probiotics come in to play?
I’ve tried changing what I eat and when, to no avail.
Feedback? Suggestions?

Carbs need to be examined first...what kind and how much?
Probiotics help quite a bit...but first, do an elimination diet along with the probiotics.

Carbs are very limited. I know how I react to carbs and this is different.
I guess to do an elimination diet I would just do protein and water to start?

Yes, a day should work or two days at most and then start adding things. If it doesn't clear up in two days, something else might be going on which might require a visit to a doc.
