You're doing great I think! Trial and error on protein and what works.
Regarding water, have you tried putting lemon or lime in it? I could NOT tolerate plain water, it killed me! When I put squeeze of fresh lemon in it, totally different feel, I could DRINK! I'm 10 months out now and can finally drink water without lemon but usually still use it.
Wow, you're lucky if your sense of taste is already back to normal! Mine took a long time. It's normal now but thankfully I broke my addiction to diet sodas. I could not stand even the smallest sip of my beloved Diet Coke, taste wise, not talking about the discomfort the fizz would give. I don't miss it at all now and when we eat out it saves us money because hubby as mostly stopped ordering them too.
I have tried lemon and a bit of lime. It honestly doesn't matter what drink it is, unless my stomach is 'coated' with protein first, it hurts for some reason. I get my fluids in by making coffee and putting premier protein in it or by drinking 1/2 a protein shake, then water, then the shake again.
