Although I spend my days foraging for inappropriate high carb sweets—so that angle may be a problem—I also use small amounts of sugar in hot tea (about 1/2 tsp) and on other occasional foolish choices.

If monk fruit is a good option, I hope it shows up in prepared foods soon.

Do any of y’all have monk fruit experience.

I have never seen the fruit itself in a store, even in Asia.

I have eaten things that were sweetened with it. Lakanto uses it in their syrup and other things. Now Foods has quite a few products too. I think it tastes better than stevia. There are several granulated sugar substitutes you could put in tea. https://www.lakanto.com/collections...dDvtYs-iU_ncU4gdDQQrJe5DRvjib6oBoCmpoQAvD_BwE

Oh, crap. (Literally.)

It has erythritol. My gut didn’t get the memo that erythritol is less likely to cause diarrhea than other sugar alcohols. I think I’ll write and ask them why it has to be there.
