    Happy and safe Passover

Thank you! And same to all my colleagues here, of any faith, or no faith at all.

Susan, K9ophile, and the rest of y’all

Good plan. Taking car keys away from someone who, through no fault of their own, should no longer be behind the wheel is definitely a tough sell.

Could be Vitamin K, but there are also meds, including over the counter, that can interfere with platelet function. So, platelet count can be great, but if they don't function properly, bleeding can occur. Usual culprit is NSAID's (Aleve, Motrin, Naprosyn, etc etc there are too many to name...

Do you use Bariatric Advantage products?

Yes, they are definitely more expensive. I use mostly the chewable tablets. I buy them in the largest container (270) and while that's more expensive than, say, buying calcium citrate at Costco, for me it's worth it because I struggle with pills.

Do you use Bariatric Advantage products?

I also prefer the cherry flavor. I've used the chewy ones as well, and was surprised that I didn't like some of the flavors. The lemon and, I think, strawberry were ok. It's been awhile.

Do you use Bariatric Advantage products?

I use their chewable calcium citrate tablets because I can't swallow those huge pills. That's the only product of theirs that I use, but it's been a life saver for me.

new to the group but not to WLS

What a story! I'm sorry you went through so much with poorly performed surgery, and so glad the new meds are working so well for you. I agree that, for a lot of people, these drugs can be downright miraculous and game changing, and hope one of these days the supply chain problems will be...

    Enough is enough!

I'm so sorry you are going through all this! It sounds like a lot, and we don't even know the whole story. Regarding Wegovy, I would discuss with the doc who is willing to order it for you regarding your specific concerns related to your ongoing medical problems. Every medication has...

    Steroids are MAGIC!

You may find that the relief from the steroid injection lasts a surprisingly long time, and hopefully it can be repeated as well. I'm glad you can now return to your usual aches and pains.

    NEWER new place…

Still two bathrooms, away from the busy street, and an extra 100 sq ft. I'd call it a win.

    Big upgrade!

    We decided to move.

Good decision! And sometimes it's good just to have the decision behind you. And even I know not to paint the light switch covers, though I would probably paint around them instead of removing them. Still an improvement, though.

Take my ball and go home?

Knowing you, I'm surprised you haven't made a big stink about the failure to provide the second reduction, i.e. the overcharge. Or, maybe you did make a big stink and it didn't work. Because the 2 bathroom unit sounded like a dandy option to me. Dementia sucks. I think it will be hard for...

    Burning Mouth or Saliva

Dr. Goggle says that burning tongue syndrome (yes, it's a thing) can be caused by some nutritional deficiencies, including B12, folic acid and zinc. Also iron deficiency anemia, but we know that isn't your problem. Other causes include Sjogren's syndrome, a laundry list of medications, and...

    Which surgery to get

StormyWeather I think you hit the nail on the head by describing gastric bypass as "so-so". Yes, it has helped some people, but for many, the weight loss is not what they hoped for (or were promised, though some surgeons are honest about realistic expectations), and after the initial honeymoon...
