    Reflecting on my journey

MsVee I totally understand. I felt those feelings as well I had RNY in 2004 lost 130 lbs only to gain it back because partially my surgery failed me (stoma from pouch to intestines enlarged so no restriction) and then I threw in the towel and let everything go to hell. When I first started the...

    New Member. Carolynn R

Hello and Welcome, I second that Dr Cottom does not perform the traditional 2 anastomosis DS so do not use him(I spoke to him in my research process and he confirmed he is doing the SIPS procedure so no hearsay, I heard it straight from the horses mouth). I had a revision with Dr Simper in SLC...

Fast forward to 2018 revision...

Complications after 15 yrs post op

Its more like learning to listen to your body more intently, especially the digestive system, being careful of what you eat, when you eat it and where you are. There are still foods I have not reintroduced into my diet so have to pay attention to those when I do eat them again. Then its learning...

Hello. I am glad I found you all.

Hello Holli, As a recent RnY to DS'er I can really say those claims are exaggerated, or I am very very lucky! I do not suffer from bad or over smelly flatulence, loose stools are only when I consume too many "bad" carbs. So those can be controlled with what I put in my mouth. I have had very few...
