Sunday Weigh In (3/17/2024) Happy St. Patrick’s Day

I would very much like to know why! I don't know anyone else with a VSG stomach other than those here who also have a full DS, and I know I am not typical in any way.

Sunday Weigh In (3/17/2024) Happy St. Patrick’s Day

I hope it reverses, too, Liz. Got to be extra hard that you are both trying to eat for different results. hope your tests reveal something that's fixable! Happy St Patrick's Day to all! :feiertag smiley 014::clover::clover::clover::clover:

    That it’s “political” isn’t the point…

honestly, I don't know - it would depend how it went growing up with that name I guess? I wouldn't take it in marriage, I don't think. :dontknow:

Unable to vomit after DS (due to the sleeve part)?

I have been able to vomit but it wasn't easy and more unpleasant than before I had the VSG. luckily I don't often have any nausea!

    Diabetes

 you absolutely should have a CGM and I am saying a swearword at Medicare not paying for it. I know I have met type 2 diabetics who have it but no idea what insurance they have, of course. there is not one boring thing about life threatening! GAH!

    Sunday Weigh In (3/10/2024)

now that I think about it, I was able to do it back when I was on Lexapro. I really noticed I could feel restriction more once I got off of it.

Lord forbid indeed! but it's just common sense and I found it calming to get it done. I think I superstitiously figured "I'm prepared so now nothing bad will happen"

    Sunday Weigh In (3/10/2024)

can't blame you for sure! and, FYI, I'm living proof a sleeve can be stretched (which normally should be a warning!) but eating frequently is another way to go. anyway, really hope all those tests give you some info you need. :5grouphug:

    My bowels stopped moving

sometimes it's hard to get various things "just right" - for example people who take Imodium often end up constipated so it's good to start slow with any change as well as only changing one thing at a time. (I have a hard time remembering that one)

    My bowels stopped moving

LOL, but seriously it can be so useful to describe what BMs are like accurately! I learned in the nursing home frequently long term/dependent residents have a BM consistency that is a soft paste from stool softeners. the reason it interests me is nursing is fine with that, but I see therapy...

    Sunday Weigh In (3/10/2024)

it's good he is willing to be reminded. I hope he finds a fixable answer. Would there be in point in using something to increase your appetite? (or has that been tried?) ETA I thought I'd posted this yesterday and when I looked at it this morning it was hard for me to tell it was still a draft...
