    Interesting side effect to Prolia

Does prolia fall under Part D of Medicare? If so, do any of the plans cover it well or at least a good portion? My last Dexa wasn’t too great.

    Monday weekly weigh in 03/11/2024

Welcome! Play their games, get your surgery and do what you need to do. I can’t believe they’re still requiring such long pre-requirements, such BS!

    Sunday Weigh In (3/10/2024)

That’s very exciting! I remember it well, but it took me a few months longer to hit the 100 mark, about a year exactly. I really am cheering for the c-pap to no longer be needed when you’re retested, what a joy that would be.

    Sunday Weigh In (3/10/2024)

How great to have a pcp that level-headed and communicative! I can thoroughly understand your thoughts (worry) about the inability to gain issue. We have to be ready for anything that might come our way and be able to fight and recover, and being underweight is not helpful to that.

    My bowels stopped moving

I take stool softener capsules every single day along with a couple magnesium oxides and as Liz said, if I skip, I know it!

Take my ball and go home?

It sounds ideal, although most ideal things ultimately have a few things ending up not as ideal as first thought. Have you run this idea by miniSue yet? If so, could you gage her true gut reaction? Shock or horror being quickly hidden, or true agreement and excitement? You’re probably really...

Dr. Rodolfo Wilhelmy has taken time off, staff is uncertain when he will return.

I had him too, great surgeon, nice person, but I don’t think he’s been there for quite some time, unfortunately!

    Which surgery to get

DS! I personally know MANY bypass recipients who gained all and more back. Not so with DS peeps, maybe a slight regain but nothing huge. Read here and ask questions. Also , make sure that if you do settle on DS that your surgeon does the true DS surgery and not the modified one (sadi/sips)...

Newbie with upcoming sleeve surgery 12/6

Hey, so glad you came on and joined us, Dinah! Here folks know me as Susan (Susan in Tennessee), used my first name rather than my usual middle name, Annette. So if they act like they don’t know me that’s why! I honestly don’t know where the email was meaning to put surgical information...

    Vets and pregnancy advice!

Seems like I’ve seen a FB group for DSers who become pregnant, or maybe it’s WLS and not specifically post DS. Might try doing a search or inquiring in the DS FB groups. I also can’t say whether you’d get any good advice either! Sending positive wishes for the upcoming transfer! Susan
