Nausea post op

Gelatinous vomit? Sounds more like "sliming", which happened to me early out. From not chewing my food to death.

Sorry to hear you are still dealing with this. It makes me sad.

The only real difference I could feel with this round of treatment was diarrhea every time I went to the bathroom, bloating, and a lot of noise from my abdomen. No improvement. I continue to throw up a few times a week after having an upset stomach all day.
I'm so sorry, I hope something helps and soon.

I have noticed my guts are a lot noisier lately. Not sure if they have less insulation so I'm just hearing them more or if it's part or my insides doing some readjustment.

I thought I’d update on my appointment with the gastroenterologist. I liked her and their office seems to see a lot of people with H Pylori! I will have my third H. pylori breath test on Friday a week from today. I need to be antibiotic and PPI free for a period before I do the test which requires some patience on my part. Lots of bloating and noise. Still puking at least once a week. I threw up my dinner last night and am in the midst of some weird BM stuff. I am doing much better getting my vitamins in me so I’m not sure if it’s the vits, the H Pylori, or just timing as the cause of my BM weirdness. I took a dose of Miralax for the first time today. My butt hurts :) and I have ordered a cushion for my chair at work.

Actually the original surgeon I was working with did an endoscopy last Sept, removed some polyps, and diagnosed me with gastritis but did not test me for H Pylori then. Glad that quack did not do my DS. The most unhelpful staff in the ER were unhelpful because once they knew I had the DS in Mexico they wanted nothing to do with me.

It probably comes as no surprise to anyone still following this saga that I have tested positive for H. pylori a third time! Friday’s test came back positive, and unfortunately for me the nice and helpful dr I saw who ordered the test is now out on maternity leave and her PA is out for training until Thursday, so no one has called in new meds for me yet. I keep calling and reminding them I am keen to be cured of these critters.

Unrelated, I also went for a mammogram on Friday after the H. pylori retest, and was called back for more imaging this morning. After much smashing and squeezing, many images were taken and an ultrasound performed. I was told by the radiologist that I have 6 calcifications in my right breast that I should have biopsied. Or I could take the wait 6 months and do more mammograms and ultrasounds. Or I could take the 1975 approach and call a surgeon. I did not have these calcifications in 2017. I am 41, and my mother had breast cancer. I’m waiting for the official report and to get my PCP’s advice before I do anything one way or the other.

Here's to hoping for unremarkable biopsies and an effective cure for the H. Pylori. Hang in there. It sounds like a very worrisome time.

Good grief. You have had a heckuva ride. I hope you can get somebody at the docs office moving. It's tough to find a doc that will listen, so it's a bummer to lose her for a while (though it's for the best of reasons). I hope the PA is cut from the same cloth.

The report shouldn’t take too long to get to you. But getting an oncologist onboard is a good idea. You can always cancel the appt if needed.

I'm really sorry to hear both of these; I hope the first gets treated and you can be done with it and the second turns out to be nothing.

FYI I recently had a mammo for the first time in a long time and it was barely uncomfortable - not outright painful like the last time.

My breast biopsy came back OK, their words, I have to redo my mammogram and an ultrasound in 6 months. The H Pylori nausea has been much improved. Weight loss continues and I’m about 35 pounds from my high school weight. I take inch measurements about once a month and now my waist and hips are the same size and chest about 4 inches larger than hips/waist. I still feel bloated probably related to the H Pylori but I am hopeful it will deflate.

I’m glad things are looking up, although I’m sure you’d rather there was a bit more positivity regarding the biopsy than just “0kay”! Brings to mind a commercial ...okay, just okay? Stay vigilant and get the recommended mammo. Great work on your weight. I really hope this H Pylori stuff is over now, you’ve had a rough Road.

Glad it was okay but it’s still concerning that they want a redo in 6 months. Crossing toes that your next one is great. I hope your bloat goes away. Are you on a pro or pre biotic?

My waist and hips have always been very close together. Back in 1982, at 27, weighing 147, with no body fat to speak of, my hips were a 28, my waist a 27 and my chest, a whopping 34. I’ve always been a whiskey barrel.

Welp I’m now down a hundred pounds from my heaviest. I was a sick and tired 277 at a liver doctor’s appointment in earlyMay 2018, and this week I’m around 176. Pretty unbelievable.

My stool sample testing all came back negative for c. Diff, shigella, etc and now I’m taking IBGard and Colestipol for my incessantly upset bowels. I took Colestipol before, and I had some left so I put myself back on it until I see my PCP this week. The Gastro practice says that our next step would be to do a colonoscopy but I do not want their office to do a colonoscopy on me because they seem pretty lackluster except for the woman who’s been out on maternity leave.

Semi rhetorical questions: Could the incessantly upset bowels just be from reconfigured innards? The diarrhea almost always starts with a rumble under my left rib cage where the drain was and where I believe the actual switch is located. The last time I puked was the first of the month, when I barfed up some vitamins. I almost always have diarrhea by the end of the work week, Thursday-Friday is almost always a diarrhea time. Any idea why Thurs-Fri are rougher? I work Monday thru Friday and don’t see anything glaring out at me about my routine,
