Now the one about small meals...remember post surgery you have VERY limited space...so many small meals make sense to get your protein in. But bottom line, as long as you eat protein first, grazing on good snack is very appropriate. I know that even my meals are still "snack size".
 
that's good - but I see I have already liked their FB page (authority nutrition) and yet never see any posts from there. I hate FB!!!

Or you can just shrug, nod, and keep on doing whatever the hell you want to. I figured that they weren't following me home so why did I care what they said in my little 10 minute meeting with them. I did the appointments I was supposed to do and I haven't seen one since...
 
The most annoying thing my Nut keeps pushing is low fat and only three meals a day. I have actually talked to gals in the waiting room who are loosing slowly, always hungry, experiencing stomach pain, and are constipated. I send them here. Thanks Liz!
My Nutrionist is saying the same. Keep your fats low and eat small meals. So confusing. I came her for help as well.
 
So, it would be useless for me to keep my appointment with my NUT on June 30th. I called I asked for an appt to see her because I have little to no restriction and I am a year and a half out. It is scary that I can eat so much food at one setting. i try to stick to 90-100g of protein, 100-120 of fat, 50g or less of carbs, of course a lot of times I am over that, but sometimes i get so hungry and me not being able to exercise is big problem for me too. I have bad knees and back.

Chances are you will not hear anything new that will actually help you!

As far as the exercise thing goes there is probably something you can do. Put some 2lb weights or 2 cans of peas by your favorite chair. Every time you sit there you have to work out your arms. Any extra motion you can do helps. You have to start where you are today. For some people it's going out for a run. For others it's finding chair exercises that work within their limitations.

Another thing you can do is drink more. In the summer I try to drink about a gallon of plain or mint iced tea. I usually make sun tea every day.

I'll be having my DS in April, and I'm trying to review all I can to make sure I'm as prepared as I can be. I was going through the paperwork from the nutritionist and found the ol devil "lowfat" listed over and over again. Now, I had this same thing with the gastric sleeve nutritionist and they INSIST that lowfat is the only way to go.

I felt like (as a livelong fat person and not educated in nutrition) that it wasn't my place to argue, but I'm seeing more and more data suggesting that lowfat ISN'T the solution. Usually to take away the fat they add salt and sugar, and isn't that as bad as fat?

So I'm asking anyone who'd like to answer. What say you on the lowfat question? Thanks in advance!

Low fat/no fat is NOT the answer even for normies. Every human needs a certain amount of fat for good brain and skin health. When the world went low fat crazy, carb consumption increased.

Hell, everything is touted as low fat. Look at a bag of Twizzlers (one of my favorite type of candy) and it's got "No fat". Well, yeah, it's no fat but it's ALL sugar and that's even worse for you than fat.
