This lab “draw center” is going to kill me.

I am exhausted, cranky and barely able to function. Maybe because:
-my Iron is at 11 (27-139),
-my Iron Sat is at 2% (15%-55%),
-my Hemoglobin is at 9.5, and
-my Ferritin is at 6 (15-150.). That part isn’t their fault, but
-the missing Vit A, Vit B-6, PTH and urinalysis are. The Final Report says “no specimen received, please resubmit.”

I’m working on an Iron Infusion and Vitamin D injection. But wouldn’t it be great if I could get the Vit A the same day?

I want them all fired; I don’t even care if they have starving children at home. Fuck’em all.

Ugh. Good news is that when you get the infusion, you'll definitely feel better. It'll be like Popeye getting spinach!

As a little kid, I loved singing, “I’m strong to the finach, ‘cuz I eats my spinach”…etc.

However…. the Popeye, “you’re a sap, Mr. Jap” episode may soon be harder to find. Lol

Thanks, all. After HOURS of calling, waiting on hold, getting transferred and then disconnected, it APPEARS that both of my doctors did everything right. However:

1–LabCorp sends out “Final Report” info when final results on all the labs ordered are NOT INCLUDED. That dies not help.
2–The Draw Center at my PCP’s office, associated w/LabCorp, just forgot to tell LabCorp to test for Vitamin A*.
3-The PDF report from Lab Corp SAYS “Vitamin B6–No specimen received, please resubmit.” However, the customer service people at LabCorp says they indeed have the specimen, and it has been tested and they will provide results when the other stuff that needed special handling is also completed, so they need a few more days.
4-My PTH is being tested, results soon.

I hate them. All of them. Please hate them with me.

*This means TWO trips to get Vitamin injections, because we know I need Vit D now but we have no idea if I need Vit A. And, my Vitamin Connection can do it now, or in late May. He hasn’t volunteered to cancel his vacation to wait around for my Vit A results. How rude.

I get my iron early tomorrow afternoon.

It's all labs. Before surgery my surgeon ordered a bunch of baseline labs. I took the printed list to the navy base to have the tests done. I tried to give the woman my printed list and inquired on at least 3 occasions from getting to desk to leaving and she kept assuring me all labs were in the digital system and she did not need the paper copy. Even when she pulled less vials than I thought were enough she insisted she had them all. About a week later I was still missing about half the results. Bet you can guess what comes next...... She did not run all the tests and I had to go back. Why don't health care professionals treat us like we might actually know something?
