Hi all. I'm revising from an RNY to DS in a few weeks. Not for weight loss, but because my RNY is beyond screwed up. My BMI is 27. I know, I'm a feather weight. Having a hard time finding real data on what my weight loss profile will look like. I know revisions lose slower...but anyone else have surgery at a low BMI? What was your weight loss like? TIA.

Why in the name of all that is holy are you worried about weight loss at a BMI of 27 - unless you are worried about too MUCH weight loss?

I'd like to lose ito the mid-normal range for my height, but I am also very concerned about losing too much.

Most likely, you will end up losing a bit too much at first, and then you will settle back up with some regain - but it is impossible to predict. I'm sure the surgeon will take that into account in constructing the limb lengths, but it's kind of a crap shoot (or chute - pun intended).
