Drain is out! WOW that was a weird feeling. It was a super long one, too, the nurse said. It's certain now- barring anything unforeseen I'm out of here tomorrow.

Yes, Mama Jackie, happy to give a fluids report. I'm actually getting in about 40 ounces already without issue. Broth and apple juice and jello and water make up most of that here, but the juice will get the axe when we leave in favor of higher protein lower sugar options. It's stopped feeling weird and making gurgling noises every time I drink, which is awesome. I'm also swallowing even big tablets MOSTLY okay (it's a little... awkward, but not painful) as long as they're at least cut in half. Not really any nausea unless one feels like it's getting stuck.
Very little pain except the incision and the area where they pulled the drain out. Only on Tylenol for it now.

YEAH...glad to hear the drain is out...I agree about the odd feeling when they pull the drain.
