Sunday Weigh In (4/30/2017)

Last week: 149.5
This week: 149

Was mostly up a couple pounds during the week but finally came back down. I went shopping, again! I've got to stop that, but oh, what a difference from the way it used to be!
You are doing so well and look great, my friend.

Got back to the protein snacks instead of the trash snacks for the reminder of the audit which was great. Have been really moody, specifically i have been getting really frustrated and upset over thing I can't control. Not sure if it is stress or hormones or a combination of the two. I also have been having terrible night sweats. I'll be freezing when we go to bed, and I wake up 3 hrs later in a giant puddle of sweat. So the poor sleep could be contributing to the mood too, who knows. Due for a blood draw next week so I suppose I will see if I'm just a tired angry stress pot bitch or if there is a hormone/vitamin issue contributing to the "pissy patty" as my husband calls it.
Glad to hear you are on track, but if those night sweat continue please get those checked out because it can be a symptom of more serious issues.

Regarding your stress over things that you can't always control, well letting those go is what needs to happen, but we all know that is easier said than done. Recognizing it is the first step to managing so good for you and your efforts. You are still quite young and I know you are driven person with your career, which was the case for me. It took me a while learn how to cope with all the pressures of being a fairly high level manager for my age. I started my first full P&L responsible Plant Manager job with 10 direct reports, 130 indirects and around $50,000,000 in revenue at age 34. Our boys were 6 and 4 at that time and we were fortunate enough that Dianna could stay home with them. She would call me around 6:30 some evenings and ask if I was coming home and that was my signal it was time to wrap it up, but sometimes I would say to her, "Honey I am sorry but I am responsible for making sure that 130 people keep their jobs". It took me a while to get over that, and I am still very conscious of the responsibility of a leadership position, but I learned that the work will be there the next day and how to effectively delegate things that weren't necessarily my responsibility to complete myself to my subordinates and that also gave them opportunity to grow.

Hopefully your labs come back well and the night sweat stuff goes away along with your stress.

A very bouncy week that saw me down at 68.5 kg (151 lbs) a few times, but Monday morning (your 'Sunday') is right after my flight back from Hong Kong each week, so it's never my best weight. I'll take it, though - a slight drop is still a drop!

NSV: We are doing a research project for class on how foreign domestic workers spend their day off in Hong Kong. Its focused on a footbridge in a part of the city called Mong Kok, where the ladies set up tarpaulin mats and spend the day socialising and eating. We went down to interview the women for about four hours yesterday. This involved lots of crouching down to approach them and ask them for interviews, and for those who agreed, sitting cross-legged on their mat for the 30-60 minutes we spoke to them. While I'm still not the world's biggest fan of squatting, I could do it no problems. Getting up and down off the floor was a breeze, and sitting there was quite comfortable (except my increasingly bony butt on concrete, but that wasn't too bad!).

Thanks my friend. I am up and down. My lows are still not as low as they were in the past, and I have more good days then bad, but I am still not where I want to or need to be healthwise. One day I think I am ready to go back work and then I will have a week like 2 weeks ago where I wouldn't have been able to make it into the office several of those days. I keep on pushing and try to lead a somewhat normal life so hopefully a positive break happens soon because we are in horrible financial shape and life hasn't been fun for a while. Dianna deserves better than what I have been giving to this relationship and my contribution to income and household duties.

Anyway thanks and I hope your are enjoying the retirement RV tour.
You've had a very rough few years. It takes time but that doesn't help the finances.
It's been a learning experience for sure but we are enjoying it. We will be heading north in June for a rally in Goshen. Then further north and west. Next year we will look for a workkamping position(s) for the summer month.

Love the NSV. I can't "crouch" as my knees hate me.

As long as you look at a consistent time of weighing, when isn't as important.
