Questions about Dr. Sudan

Does anyone know if Dr. Sudan requires a pre-op diet before he will do the surgery? The insurance my husband just signed up with at his job say they don't require anything like a specific 3 to 6 month diet just documentation showing that I tried to lose weight. Just to be on the safe side while I'm waiting for my insurance to take affect I am doing a supervised diet with my PCP. With that being said, I am looking at Dr. Sudan to do my surgery. Just wondering what his requirements are. I pray there he doesn't require another attempt for me to diet.

Thank you ladies, I called his office and was told it all depends on my insurance if they require a supervised diet. I called my insurance and they don't require any kind of supervised diet only that I've tried and discussed this with my dr. it has to be in her notes that I've tried. I'm excited about this. I've been doing a supervised diet for 3 mos now with my PCP. So I'm heading in the right direction. Thanks ladies again.
