So my PCP did that fairly new testing that focuses on the SIZE of particles. The not-as-yet-FDA-cleared concept is that the teensy weensy particles sneak into the walls of arteries and cause blockages from the INSIDE of artery walls. And the big ol' fat jumbo particles are just too fat to do that.

My results:

Small LDL-P should be <527. Mine is <90.
Large HDL-P should be >4.8. Mine is 12.8.
LDL Size should be >20.5. Mine is 21.4.
Insulin Resistance Score shoukd be <45. Mine is 36.
And LDL Particle Conc should be <1000. Mine is 506.

She was REALLY impressed. I told her it was the DS, NOT my diet.

She raved.

My numbers suck....doc said I can't escape genetics with diet and weight management. (Yes, I was hoping I could stop taking cholesterol medication. No such luck.)
BTW....my regular cholesterol numbers are fine...total, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides.
Gotta look deeper than that.
NMR LipoProfile is likely the test they ran Spiky.
That's what my cardiologist uses as well.
I've been selling this test for about 8 or so years now.
