I know when I went to see her about a revision from Erny to DS she had only done one at that time. Plus for most parts she does it as a 2 part surgery.
I know she also does virgin DS also but everyone I knew that got one got the two stage surgery.

^^^ Yeah, she's someone I would NOT recommend - but we are going to create a list with everyone who CLAIMS to do a DS, and then include this kind of helpful information about why they are or are not endorsed.

Just read this from a Dr. Smith (Marietta, GA) patient:

Dr Smith is moving to Miami and will be joining a WLS practice there. Dr. Jean-Pierre is taking over his practice here.

That would put a truly VETTED surgeon in FL...but delete one from Georgia.

Update to that post above. Apparently Dr. Smith is moving to Celebrate, FL and is planning on doing more teaching than surgery. More info will be provided when it becomes available:



From what I understand, Dr. Jean-Pierre doesn't LIKE the DS.

I wanted to update on Dr Emil Graf. He told her it is impossible to convert an rny to a DS. She told him my sister in law had it done. He argued that no way in th world. He asked where and when she told him he told her to go there and get it then. So umm mm I think he's off the list lol. Same exact thing Juarez told me go to California and get it then. When I cancelled to do just what he told me to he called all pissed off.....it must be that God complex some have...

No, he didn't...a patient of his did and got her panties all in a twist cause I called him NON-VETTED.

Dr. Patrick Coates' office in Modesto, CA had been doing the SADI/Loop.

According to Diane, his P.A., Dr. Coates is no longer doing the SADI/Loop and is back to doing the traditional DS because the hospitals where he performs surgery deemed the SADI/Loop an experimental surgery and need more research data before allowing it. So he is back to doing the traditional DS at this time.
