So I am working on getting the revision from RnY to DS - primary reason is severe dumping ( weight is going up too and some other Heath issues are coming back) However I am concerned with insurance approval because of my BMI (working with DR K's office to get all ins pre-reqs completed to submit for approval) I know typically BMI for DS has to be fairly high or with co-morbities. Has any one had experience with DS with a low BMI. Mine is 31ish.

I would think they would get it approved on grounds of medical necessity of health issues caused by the RnY (dumping). I would not think the 31 BMI would be working your favor if BMI is the only justification.

No. Reason for surgery is severe dumping. I am technically an RnY "success" because I have kept off about 50 percent of my excess weight.
