DSRIGGS Yes, that is chocolate covered bacon

Clarrissa the colon doesn't absorb many nutrients. Most of that comes from the small intestine.

I am not sure what is going on with drinking cold water and that doesn't sound normal, so please call Dr K.

You will find your new balance of diet when it comes to motility. I do not suggest trying to slow things down because believe me with the work you had done recently you do not want to be constipated. Unless you have actual diarrhea, pooping 5 times is no big deal. Are you still on an antibiotic? I am sure you were in the hospital. In any case make sure you are taking a gut probiotic so your gut biome is good. That helps to regulate pooping (consistency of it, loose vs solid)

I definitely suggest that you call Dr K because drinking water should not cause pain.
