    More2Adore's Updates

Ugh, has it really been this long since I updated here? AWFUL. I am awful. I just wanted to update for anyone who may still remember me. I hit my goal in late 2016 (250 pounds), then exceeded it, and now, on my two year surgiversary, I'm six months pregnant. It's been an amazing two years...

    300 Pounds Lost!!!! :-O

It's my one year surgiversary on Monday! I've lost a total of over 300 pounds now, 193 pounds of that since my VSG surgery last year. It's been a crazy journey, but such a rewarding one! I can't believe how different I am from my start weight now, and how different my life is! I never thought I...

:-( We have lost one of our beloved members

Since Robs was a veteran and with all this talk about flags at half-mast, this seemed appropriate. Rest in peace, my friend.

:-( We have lost one of our beloved members

I too read the news on Facebook and stopped in to see if there was more information here and to talk about it with others who knew him and cared. Steve was really something special. He definitely knew how to make you smile! I am just utterly in shock and can't help tearing up - there are truly...

Robs477 Update: ….”The “EL GORDITO GRANDE”

@robs477, I remember you worrying you weren't going to lose the weight you needed to because of your effed up metabolism. Looks like THAT isn't a concern anymore. ;) Happy for your success, mate, and hope you can find a solution to your current situation and wind up exactly where you want to be. :)

    Omelette game-changer

I so am dying to try this, but my sleeve is so averse to dry eggs I'm scared to. It won't let me eat dry scrambled eggs - only super runny scrambled made with milk & cream cheese, or poached eggs with a runny yolk. It's so picky! But this recipe is calling to me! :)

The feeling of fullness is different with VSG/DS

Oh, and your tummy-rumbling "hunger" Clematis - probably not hunger. Typically it's acid reflux, even if it doesn't feel like it. Dehydration and acid reflux are the two biggest things mistaken for hunger that early out.

The feeling of fullness is different with VSG/DS

Yeah, even 8 months out eggs are still an issue! I've been making my own egg drop soup lately, but last night I let the eggs get too clumpy like they were scrambled eggs instead of those little moist wispy strands in egg drop soup (I rushed through making it) and I was in MISERY for an hour. I...

The feeling of fullness is different with VSG/DS

If I drop below 1000 calories per day, it stalls. I stay between 1000-1200. But my weight is way higher than yours, which has a lot to do with it. Your caloric needs won't be the same as mine.

The feeling of fullness is different with VSG/DS

I wish I got any of those signs, heh. Like @DSRIGGS I do belch throughout and it feels like it clears more room when that happens! I experienced the "not being able to burp" thing early out, too, but it happens only very rarely these days. When it does happen, I hate it, but, at least for me...

    Now I've Done It!

I like this "no more excuses" thread. :) I recently did away with mine, too. I had previously only been up to getting my steps in the 4 days a week or so I had errands/appointments in the city. I would just go to those appointments - walking to the train station, switching trains, walking to the...

    Vanilla Chai

That makes me feel better! :) It's great. I've been getting my protein bare minimum from food (at LEAST 60 but usually more like 70-80g per day), but starting my day this way makes it SO much easier for me to keep my protein/carb ratio the way I like it. Yesterday was a 97g protein/27g carbs day...

    Vanilla Chai

I know, I know - Whey Protein Isolate is king. But does anyone know exactly how much less of Whey Protein Concentrate gets absorbed? I seem to remember that being the reason (along with easiness on the tummy) that WPI is preferred? I've found some Protein Coffee that I've been using to get me...

    The three week stall

Nope, not me, haha. :) I haven't been anywhere near maintenance since I was like 12 years old, lol! :)

    more2adore's Before, Durings & After Pics :)

Actually, I think we had driven there, so I was probably just trying to be cute by leaning, lol. :) But you're right that my experiences are very different: In the first pic, we had to drive to all the places I wanted to go sightseeing at (and if we couldn't drive to it, I couldn't go). In the...

    More2Adore's Updates

I understand it wasn't supposed to be changed, but mine is apparently way more narrow than it is supposed to be. The radiologist said the surgeon "made it more narrow" but maybe he misspoke or just didn't know what he was talking about - entirely possible. Maybe it's just a simple stricture?
