    Cologuard ?

My PCP agreed I could try Cologuard instead of a colonoscopy as my last colonoscopy was clear with no family history. My initial thought, was - COOL... no prep.....However, after 2 attempts Cologuard states they cannot get a good enough reading for a clear answer. I will talk with my PCP next...

Prolia update - post 4 yrs of use

I was not on Medicare until after the Forteo. I know Forteo really helped as well, and the Prolia builds on top of what Forteo does. Just something to keep in mind for when it works out.

Prolia update - post 4 yrs of use

ACL surgery there is usually a screw or a pin, or sometimes if total replacement of ACL like hubby had they tie it and pin it into the bone. The hospital should have the OR report in records, just contact medical records, fax in a release of information and they will send it.

can we chat Ferritin and iron levels ?

I have never seen a hematologist as labs have always been somewhat stable. I saw the labs online and my PCP has not called yet. I assume she should call tomorrow. I stopped taking my iron over the weekend, figured it wouldn't hurt. I think my insurance requires referral now to a specialist. I...

can we chat Ferritin and iron levels ?

I am 15+ years out DS. I have struggled with anemia prior to the DS . I had a hysterectomy prior to DS due to heavy bleeding, which ended up being a huge tumor. It's been a roller coaster ride with my ferritin and iron levels for years. I was borderline infusions, but then was able to get levels...

Low Folate, high Ferritin and high MCV

So if your Folate was low which one did you order to supplement ? It's never been this low at 5. in the past it's been borderline. My MCV is high, which tells me Folate is low. However, now my Ferritin is high a 377, with lab high end being 307, normally it's run in the mid 200's. I am 5 yrs...

    List of DS surgeons

Your lucky to be alive after Dr Warden. He has been sued numerous times, Not by me, ( I should have) but I know 2 people who died under his care / post op care. My original BPS was in 2003, Thankfully the good Dr John Rabkin saved my life in 2013 as I had numerous issues, including improper...

puzzled on leg cramps... any ideas ?

Thank you everyone. I checked my calcium levels, last 3 were 8.9, 9.0 and 9.2. I do use Hylands as well and it does not help, I am going to increase water. I put a water tracker on my cell this a.m. Maybe I am not drinking enough and I just think I am. My B12 is good at 886 the last 3 draws as...

Spinal fusion and/or bone grafts? Need some help.

It depends on what level is being fused. I had C3-5 fused in 1995. I was not allowed to drive for 6 months. I recovered at home with home health and then family help after a couple of weeks. I was in a halo to start. I would recommend donor bone if possible as the bone grafts I had were so...
