    List of DS surgeons

I had the RNY with Dr. Boyce in 2009 and have maintained a 200+ lb weight loss. I only found out this weekend that he was no longer listed on their New Life Center For Bariatric Surgery website. Dr. Robert Williams was one of the surgeons then and is now listed as the primary surgeon. He may be...

I’m placing this here for limited access

I've been busy with other projects and haven't really done web development in the past couple of years, but would have certainly jumped at the opportunity to own and be active in this community. So much support over the past many years. I'm glad things worked out okay though. Wishing you all a...

Wow. I wish I'd known about this post. I'd certainly have been interested. Even though I haven't veen active in months (or years?) I'm still a proponent of WLS and have the tech experience. Damn. Sure wish I'd known... Liz I hope you and everyone have been doing well. J.

    I made my goal weight!!!

CONGRATS galaxygrrl .... Or should I say Congrats SKINNY girl #WOW I had the RNY back in 2009 and since have maintained a weightloss of 200+ pounds. I haven't quite met any particular goal weight. I never really set a goal weight. Just wanted to be far from 438 pounds LOL. Anyway ... Congrats on...

    Anyone used a BMI scale?

Sounds nice actually. I'm of the school that only weighs in at doctors visits. I don't even own a scale. If I ever decide to purchase one though - it's gonna be a smart one LOL. Kinda kewl to get such info in an app! J.

8 year surgiversary gloat, bloat and the Rocky theme

I fluctuate between 10-20 pounds of my lowest weight as post-op. But it's a sight better than being the 438 pound mass of depression that I was. I'd imagine all that hiking has and exploring and living life has been incentive to keep the weight off though. I'm inspired by kirmy's testimony...

8 year surgiversary gloat, bloat and the Rocky theme

Wow! What a testimony. You were a beautiful big girl. Fuck off to all those who had the unmitigated audacity to come out of their faces with, "You'd be pretty if you lost weight." You were gorgeous. This 'authentically me' blond-shell bomb chick, though, is FIERCE! Super-fierce. And I'm a wee...

    Best Thing You've Seen Today...

LMAO... Adding to the concept of 'best thing seen today' ... And kinda giggling at your reply... A couple days after having posted that beautiful peacock's train rattle THIS happened... ...and I'm kinda #AstoundedNotAstounded at the irony of this because I absolutely adored the white peacock -...

    Hello everyone

Welcome RhondaB129 - Glad you're able to login successfully. Not quite happy about the issue you're facing though - but I absolutely agree with these sentiments: I'm not very knowledgeable about insurance issues - but your particular circumstance seems an issue that insurance would be compelled...

    Best Thing You've Seen Today...

Wow! I wouldn't have thought Dr. Seuss as political. Had you asked me what rating I'd have given for such an accusation = I'd have said "Pant's on Fire" LOL... Interesting though and definitely fits the political environment of today. J.

    So... I have no scale...

Is it "evolved" though JackieOnLine ? Or more like stubborn resistance? LOL Whatever the case - I was just simply wondering if I were alone in not really doing the scale, weighing in daily. Pre-surgery I'd tried all sorts of diet fads and such. And back in the days of PhenFen I really obsessed...

    So... I have no scale...

Thanks for the feedback Munchkin. I thought it may be a bit weird because I know there's the weekly weigh-in thread here at BF and was just wondering if I'm the only one who doesn't really go by the scale number as a means of tracking progress. Thanks southernlady!!! I've lost a ton of weight...

    So... I have no scale...

So - I have no scale and only weight when I'm at the doctor's office. Is this weird?? I know a lot of WLSers are obsessed with weighing in. I actually threw my scale away after having surgery back in 2009 and haven't had one since. The reasoning is that... IDK... Kinda like I don't want to...
