I also know that losing your hair is part of the process, but I think I'm losing weight at an unhealthy rate due to lack of protein in my diet :( My hair is falling out BADLY.... I'm really worried

    Protein Shake HELP!

Hello everyone! The protein shake that I tolerated before surgery (Premier Protein) worked very well for me and after surgery it has been causing me extreme discomfort; HORRIBLE gas, bloating and non-stop gut wrenching gurgling pain! What other types of protein supplements do you guys use? My...

    Nausea 24/7

Thanks for writing me back everyone! I love the support on here - everyone is so great :) @duh_Mom : I am just doing liquids for now (per my surgeon's protocol) but I called my doctor's office and they said that nausea can be completely "normal for 1-2 MONTHS" after surgery!!! Ahhhhh! Scary...

    Nausea 24/7

I do take a PPI - very smart thinking though! I have stopped worrying about the exercise and all that for now... Proud of myself for not beating myself up about it. I realized I have 13 inscision sites and had a complicated 10 surgery... It's probably going to take me longer to heal than most...

    Nausea 24/7

Hey Everyone! I am officially on the start of my 4th week post op from having a pretty complicated revision from the Lap-Band to the DS. My question is about nausea: Did any of you have nausea 24/7 in the 2nd and 3rd weeks out after surgery? I was fine my first week and a half.... got tons of...

    Update after surgery on 4/6/16

As a nurse I did think this is definitely odd for me as well - but his reasoning is that people heal better in their own home. I generally understand that. You don't sleep well (if at all) in the hospitals - someone is always poking and prodding you and thus your healing process is being slowed...

    Update after surgery on 4/6/16

He did say I had a lot of scar tissue throughout my entire intestines as well as the crap band! He asked me (while being in nuclear medicine checking for a PE, LOL) if I had grown up playing a lot of sports as a child. And I laughed and said, "Yes, pretty much every sport you can think of...

    Update after surgery on 4/6/16

@DSRIGGS My surgeon is NOT a moron or dumbass- he's extremely well known in the bariatric community and is one of the "it guys" to go to if you have any sort of complications and whatnot. That being said - I was obviously an extremely complicated case that he wasn't expecting, but I knew I was...

Hey everyone! Newbie here with questions :)

Wow Scott! I'm so sorry you went through all of that! I will definitely be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. He has performed 5,000+ bariatric surgeries and said he "learned on the DS". I didn't ask about the Hess, CC, or AL.... I have no idea what those are but they are great questions...

Hey everyone! Newbie here with questions :)

Scott, I will say who it is... But I want people to know that I am 100% satisfied with who he is. I am asking these questions because his requirements seem a LOT different than most people's that I have read online, on many different sites. With that being said, I know he's reputation and he's...

Hey everyone! Newbie here with questions :)

I am a registered nurse and I work on the medical/surgical units and what you said were my thoughts exactly..... seems pretty extreme to just let someone go home after such an intense surgery...... I appreciate your input! Good to know I'm not the only one thinking this way LOL
