    Vitamin K2 MK4 vs MK7?

Vitalady talked with the guy that is the brains behind BioTech-Pharm about the difference. If I recall, he told her the MK7 has a greater 1/2 life than MK4. When you read the old studies all they tested was large doses of MK4 and some folks automatically assume MK4 is the best, but maybe not.

Hi im new to the group ???

His rep wasn't so good in the old days...4 or 5 years ago. I would definitely look at the list on dsfacts.com. Dr Smith in Atlanta might be a good option location wise. I understand his office might be difficult to deal with but that may be hit or miss.

    Supplement Quick Reference Guide

Normally "from Calcium Citrate" is fine. It just makes me nervous that it lists calcium carbonate in the list of ingredients. I don't think one or two bottles will be a problem. It's so hard to find plan calicum citrate. I just go with Vitalady's calcium citrate only capsules.

    Getting nervous about DS

@chevtow , I would be wary of lifting 50 pounds or more even at 6 weeks post-op. Driving wouldn't be a problem, just the lifting.

Vitamin B6, Why Do We Have Trouble Getting Rid of It?

I talked with Michelle (Vitalady) the Wed night. She didn't have anything in her immediate memory bank but she went searching right away. So, we're researching in Mindell's Vitamin Bible, PDR for Nutritional Supplements and the textbook, Advanced Nutrition and Human Metabolism. So far, I see...

    18 Month Labs

Your system sure is stubborn regarding your D3, calcium and PTH, and I know you're doing everything you're supposed to do. Folic acid can go to every other day. B12 being high is fine.

Vitamin B6, Why Do We Have Trouble Getting Rid of It?

I had an email from our new dietitian about one of her other DS patients coming up with high B6. She remembered us talking about COSTCO Kirkland calcium citrate and how some DSrs will develop really high B6 levels when taking it. She also remembered me saying that some DSrs keep a high B6 level...

    I just noticed, I bought some B1

B1 is the one B, other than B12, that I needed to keep supplementing after stopping the B-complex. All my Bs were way too high except for B1 when I stopped the B-complex. Just make sure you keep an eye on the Bs through your labs.

Protein Coffee brew a pot of your favorite coffee - we like chocolate raspberry (you can also brew chai tea and use in place of coffee) In a 20 oz blender bottle with wire ball, add 2 oz of heavy whipping cream and 2 oz of cool water, or 4 oz of half & half, a packet of Truvia or Splenda, a...

    Question about Proferrin and constipation

I guess $70 for 5 pounds is about right. {sigh} I spend about $35 for 2 pounds of Syntrax Nectar and hubby and I both use protein powders so it adds up. The good thing is we don't have to spend a lot on groceries because I eat so little and he's low carbing with me. It would really be expensive...

    Question about Proferrin and constipation

I would switch to Vitalady's calcium citrate only capsules and move away from the Citracal. Those things are murder on my system, too many fillers in them I guess. I had osteoporosis and Vitalady had me try 3600mg of calcium a day, a magnesium citrate capsule with each dose, and a boron table...

What vites can be taken with iron.

The only thing I would take with regular iron, not Proferrin, is vitamin C. You can take copper with iron but it's really better to just have it in your system, it doesn't work with iron to absorb better like C does, it just works together in your system once absorbed. I'm thinking B-complex...

    I have osteoperosis now

I took Fosamax for about a year. (a.k.a. rat poison) The year I was on it my D dipped and my PTH rose. When we checked my osteocalcin it was below range as if there was no regeneration going on at all, much like concrete. I had no change on my dexa scans in that year. I stopped the Fosamax...

    B vitamins

My Bs got too high for some and ok for others on the B-complex. The B6 got way too high and wouldn't come down. I stopped the B-complex and only supplemented the B1 with a 100mg capsule. I continued on the sublingual B12 to keep it up and over 1000. Now I take 5,000mcgs of B12 every other day...

If it turns out it's not the B-complex, test the zinc. Some folks have trouble with zinc.
