Sunday Weigh In (8/19/2018)

65.5 kg (144 lbs) when I weighed this morning, which will be the last time for a long time! This weight seems to be the 'not really trying with my carbs' weight. I imagine a few kgs will come off once I'm in Indonesia and walking everywhere on my travels.

I've also sold my Fitbit scale to a new owner, which feels like a milestone in itself - giving up the 'measured life' for a bit. (Singapore's online secondhand scene is crazy fast - I've sold half my worldly goods over the weekend.)

Nine days left living in Singapore, then off to Indonesia for 17 days of diving and lounging in a hammock.
Good going. Your weigh ins can be the “well my clothes still fit the same” type until/unless you actually weigh again.
Down 1,

Looking forward to crossing over.
Good appt with Dr K last Thursday.

Congrats to all moving forward
Good for you.

Lots of protein still a little to much sugar.

Well I got a job. It’s seasonal no stress and basically selling and talking to customers yep retail. It’s been about 35 years... I walked in to purchase something and the manager said hey are you looking for a job? I said sure why not! Lord hopefully I don’t go nuts...it about 15 hours a week.

Anyway have a good week all
Whit
I’m sure they’ll be very lucky to have you! I hope you enjoy it. As much as I love Home there are times I think I should do something outside home.

Not sure what happened because I have eaten carbs this past week “celebrating”, the way we do, reaching that doc goal. I had 1/2 hamburger bun—twice, some popcorn with fake butter (gross) at a movie last night, and some low carb wraps with meat, cheese, and veg for lunches. I will take it—just not what I expected. At any rate doc “advanced” me to a level 5 diet plan that includes 4 servings of fruit a day and 2-4+ servings of carbs. I will keep doing what I’m doing now, which is following the suggestions here. Seems to be working. Thanks for being here!
You’re doing so great! Level 5 diet plan?? Yikes.

Your upcoming diving trip sounds wonderful and your new life venture very exciting. Knowing you needed a change and being able to actually do it is very remarkable. You’re quite a woman. I’m glad your kit-kat has settled in and bird watching!

Need to get back at this. Been kind of ignoring the scale and just going by my jeans. 5 pounds makes my jeans super tight, so I can tell that way. But's not the truth of the scale.

Well, it's here...
Heck, just bloat can make my jeans super tight and the weight might stay the same.

I see Dr. K today for my second post-op appt. I’m still not feeling great and finding it hard to eat but at least I’m gaining weight (slowly).

Same here. Some mornings I get dressed and look in the mirror and I look pregnant! I have to change my clothes to a top with a loser fit. I seem to be really sensitive to carbs and bloat easily.
