Thank you to everyone who has posted such great information about vitamins and lab work. I've been learning a lot about the differences living with a DS vs RNY.
I'm curious about supplements that produce a healthy gut. My Mother had Alzheimer’s and my father has Parkinson and there is growing research on the power of food and supplements for slowing down both of these diseases.
I really saw a difference in my Mother with getting her off of carbs and sugar and with strong pro-biotics and digestive enzymes. I saw a post at one point talking about the importance of NOT taking digestive enzymes because it will undo some of the malabsorption.
Is that true? And would that be true for supplements around gut health? If I took this product, would it also counter act the DS? It’s multiple strains of probiotics and a few other things.

OR all three products that also help the brain and gut communicate…

Any help or resources to learn more would be greatly appreciated. My Mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s (only 5 years older than I am right now) and I want to do everything I can to help my body.
Thanks again,
Dawn
