I did my tests a bit early and my next hematologist appt isn't for two or three weeks. I'm going to call tomorrow to see if he can see me sooner. Looks like it's time to top off my iron tank.

P.S. I really love that Lab Corp has a patient portal and as soon as my results are (legally*) available to me, they send an email and I have them.

*apparently, that varies from state to state.

It is weird, but...

I moved my appt to THIS Thursday and left a message asking that if he felt it was time for infusions (you have to say that in case of MD Ego-itis) could we schedule me right away since I'm quite exhausted.

Meanwhile, I'm off to the dentist because my new-ish crown needs to be removed and some kind of post installed and then a newer crown.

I'm thinking that from birth to 50 or 55, they pretty much try to replace your metaphorical flat tire. From 55 or so to about 65 or 70, they patch the flat tire. Shortly after 70, they start asking if you REALLY need to use the car and if you do...could you just drive really slowly in the right lane because trying for replacement or repair is really hard.

A friend of mine, the male version of a slut, used to have a "lady friend" in several of the towns he visited on business. I recently asked him if he was still "visiting What's Her Name" in Chicago. He said, "Nah. There comes a time when the juice just ain't worth the squeeze."

I think that trying to really repair old folks just may not be worth the squeeze.

I have access to a portal in TN. It's great. I think it's mandated by HIPAA laws, but I'm not sure when the deadline is. DH's PCP posts very little because the uneducated patients go berserk when they see the abnormal results. However, they do get faxed to our house upon request.

Yeah, I'm getting that impression too. Once I go on Medicare, I suspect it will get worse.
