Hello every one I apologize for being MIA. I had my revision surgery on the 5th of Feb so I am just 4 weeks out. I have to say this recovery has been a beast. I have finally turned a corner about a week ago and am actually doing pretty well, I just want my energy back. The exhaustion is killing me. I was very blessed as to not have any serious complications and the surgery was done laparoscopic so healing has been good. I am learning to eat again and trying to find that balance so the new intestinal track works. Right not I struggle with having a bowel movement every few days. I am slowly introducing healthy carbs in my diet and having a small bowl of bran flakes for breakfast. I dont want to do the milk of magnesia thing I cant get that stuff down.
So all in all I am doing pretty well and hope to continue on this upward path!

GrammyLuLu Glad to hear from you and to learn you are doing well. If you can't take milk of magnesia, try Pedialax Watermelon Chewables - still magnesium hydroxide, but the form is designed for kids, so much easier to swallow. Natural Calm is another, perhaps more palatable alternative. Best wishes and stay hydrated!

Thank you I will give those a try! Hydration is hard but I'm trying to stay on top of it!

I too struggled with exhaustion post-op, and I didn't even have a revision. It actually sounds like you're doing very well. Hang in there, it will get better.

What kind of revision

sorry to hear about the exhaustion but hopefully it will get nothing but easier with time. :)

It gets better. Sounds like you are doing good.

Once healed, ditch the bran flakes.
I will I just need some fiber, protein totally clogs me up. I am trying to find that balance between protein and carbs so I can get rid of the bran flakes.
