Cait's thread

My husband encourages me to eat *something* as he knows often I have challenges getting much food in as I’ve talked about in other threads. I’m not so sure that is a good idea, but I think that factors into this, the frustration with eating. I was encouraged (in another thread) it is ok this far out to still get much of my calories in protein shake form, which was helpful, because there is no way I would get even close to protein goals otherwise.

If shakes help you reach those goals, use them. As long as your protein lab level is 7 or above, you are doing great.

I feel your pain!!! I struggle getting real food in, and keeping it in. Protein supplements are hard cuz give me tummy problems. I’m five weeks out and I’m slowly getting my strength back, but it’s harder than I thought. I still feel a little shakey in the knees. I found a few things that work, ProYo frozen protein yogurt, Protisoup on Amazon, and then small bites of cheese, meat and nuts through the day. I also have Genepro that supposed to dissolve totally and no flavor and gives thirty grams protein but I’ve heard some bad things online so I don’t want to rely on it.
