Thank you to all who wished me well with my appointment with Dr. Simper. I went into the appointment so afraid he would tell me he couldn't help me. Guess I was preparing for the worst hoping for the best. The appointment could not have gone better. I found him to be very down to earth, accommodating and honest. He answered all my questions and went over all the risks and the success rate of the revision.
I won't lie that I am scared and excited and I wish it was over so I can move forward! My surgery date is Feb. 5th. Just a few weeks away but long enough to get all my ducks in a row.
He is performing what he calls a "Standard DS based on Dr. Hess's method" so it is safe to say 2 anomostises (I know my spelling sucks LOL) common channel of 100cm alimentary 150cm. I specifically asked about the Hess Method that was his answer.
Now to wait and get everything ready, but I have my date!!Whoooo Hooo!

Good for you.
Based on the Hess Method is ideal...and no one will know what your common channel and AL will be until he has measured it. A common channel is typical of cookie cutter ones not a Hess method DS.

It does sound like a cookie cutter DS, but many people do just fine with that, including me. I'm just glad you have someone willing to do the revision from gastric bypass, which is a big deal that very few surgeons will take on, and that it's a real DS and not something experimental.

Thanks ALL! @Larra yes the revision itself is a big thing and Dr. Simper has a big job on his hands so if it is cookie cutter I will take it. it is a ture dS with the two anomostises and it can't be worse than what I am dealing with now.
