For the past three days, my butt and legs have been incredibly achy - to the point it's preventing me from sleeping. Not restless, just achy.

Without wanting to assume it's DS-related, is there any vitamin/mineral deficiency that could be the culprit? I took some magnesium, but it didn't really help. Currently hooked up to my parents' TENS machine.

Last iron panel?
Restless leg doesn't always show as just wanting to move them but a myriad of symptoms:
https://www.ninds.nih.gov/Disorders...Fact-Sheets/Restless-Legs-Syndrome-Fact-Sheet
What are common signs and symptoms of restless legs?
People with RLS feel the irresistible urge to move, which is accompanied by uncomfortable sensations in their lower limbs that are unlike normal sensations experienced by people without the disorder. The sensations in their legs are often difficult to define but may be described as aching throbbing, pulling, itching, crawling, or creeping. These sensations less commonly affect the arms, and rarely the chest or head. Although the sensations can occur on just one side of the body, they most often affect both sides. They can also alternate between sides. The sensations range in severity from uncomfortable to irritating to painful.

Bold red is mine.

In range, but ferritin towards the lower end. I'm scheduled to have the next round in February.

Taking two Solgar Gentle Iron tablets a day (25mg each, as iron bisglycinate chelate).
Until you get the infusions, up the amount of iron. And see if you can get in sooner.

Go to the dermatologist. I have the same problem years ago and I though it was going to go away. Turns out I was hyper-thyroid. I would have never thought that and the itchness was the worse part. It's a uncommon side effect for hyper-thyriod, but I got it really hadly and it was the worst symptom for me. It was horrible!

What I learned from that is when you are itchy, your chemistry is off.

Best OTC anti-itch cream I found was actually anti itch vaginal stuff - yep, I little gross when you think about it - but so much better than anything i tried at that time. I tried everything.

Good luck.

There are so many possible reasons. It would be worth it to move up your blood draw to get the information rather than guess. I just had another round of iron infusions. My main symptom was muscle fatigue and muscle aches. How was your last set of labs? Was there anything there that might give you clues like low D, low calcium? Low D and calcium can also result in muscle pain and ache.

Is Proferrin the only brand? That's only available, from what I can tell, in the US/Canada.
See if you can get DHC heme iron from Japan. I know UK members are using that one and a friend in SC (a 17 year post op) got a shipment. The UK members have access from Amazon.UK
