Good afternoon!

New to the group. I had a RNY about 10 years ago and I have lost about 100 pounds. Within the last 3 years I have gain back almost 80% of what I have lost. I had my revision surgery on 08/15/17. Everything is going well from my pre-op to post-op I have lost a total of 40 pounds. This time around I have learned how to eat better and understand the process. 10 years ago I just had the surgery but did not know about all the mechanics to keep it off. I now look at food differently, track everything, meal prepared etc, stayed away from sugar, carbs, etc.

Welcome @mfogleballard

Who did your revision?

Hi and welcome @mfogleballard ! Congratulations on the loss and hope you are feeling well. What kind of revision did you have - what is your current digestive configuration?

I had the distal bypass.

Thanks for sharing. You may want to check out Vitalady.com for vitamin advice. I think she and her husband may have had that procedure; in any case, they have guidance around nutritional needs for it which I understand are similar to those for the Duodenal Switch which may of us on this site have had.

Hope you are well and best wishes for long term maintenance of your promising loss!
